Says the feet start to flatten with age and by their 50s and 60s, the structures that hold up the arch tend to weaken as do the muscles and tendons. This can cause pain in different parts of the body and was one reason for the new la trobe study. If the flattening could be identified with a fairly simple screening tool, clinicians could work out whether the pain was related to their foot posture or to a problem somewhere else. Most treatments for foot pain or other issues caused by flat feet consist of providing arch support inside the shoe or other footwear modifications. In some cases, it could be a matter of strengthening the muscles around the foot and ankle with a set of exercises, professor menz says. To determine the foot posture distribution in a large population the researchers used the footprints of 602 people aged 62 to 96 who had been involved in various experimental projects at la trobe. The prints had been obtained by having each person stand with their feet on sheets of special carbon paper, carbon side down, to create an image of the shape of the foot on plain graphed white paper. From a random selection of 305 prints, 60 footprints were chosen — 20 from each of the three categories of normal, high arch and flat feet. The researchers created the chart, which displays a representative example for each category and this was to be used in the experiment. "the point about assessing foot posture is that one assessor might believe a client has flat feet while someone else will disagree," professor menz says. "this is fairly subjective and is a problem because in clinical practice you would like to see people documenting things the same way. So we wanted to find out if two examiners would make the same choices in identifying flat feet and higher-arched feet. cheapest generic viagra online buy real viagra generic viagra pill in usa buy generic viagra online cheap viagra online buy generic viagra without prescription viagra cheap generic viagra viagra for sale canada viagra for sale nz " the examiners — a physiotherapist with 22 years' clinical experience and a physiotherapist with 10 years — independently rated the 60 footprints and were asked to categorise them as normal, high or low-arched using the visual diagram. The examiners repeated their assessments two weeks later without ref. shim shim shim shim shim shim shim shim buy cheap viagra online shim shim
